Pre-Production Summary:

I supervised the set for "Paint Me a Picture" in January 2022 and started planning the VFX for it as early as December 2021 when I met the DP while studying abroad in France. Since this was my first time working on film, there were a lot of challenges and mistakes that I learned from. In addition, the conditions on set for both lighting and amount of space were not ideal for green screen. However, this allowed me the opportunity to problem solve and overcome the challenges in new ways.

Week 1 for VFX consisted of organizing the project, collecting full quality files from the editor, and meeting with the director to determine the specific look/direction of the effect for each shot. Transferring and processing the high quality dpx files (nearly 500 GB) from the scanned film took a couple days, as I had to match it to the editor's exact xml/transform settings.
